Inclusive Cycling
In May, our inclusive cycling programme commenced for the third year in a row, with a 6 week cycling programme specifically for children with a disability aged 5-17 years.
The course is has been delivered by the Cycling Safety School and more recently Tanagh OEC, who can provide bikes and helmets, but it is best for children to have their own bikes which can be adjusted to the correct height for the child to facilitate progress.
The programme takes place at Cavan Leisure Centre has proved invaluable for those who have taken part, as cycling provides a great source of physical exercise and benefits in mobility and independent movement.
