GAA Skills
The ever popular G.A.A skills programme returned in March for its eighth year and continues to be one of the most successful disability sports programmes in the county. This 4 week programme was delivered in partnership with Cavan G.A.A and took place in Breffni Park 3G with 30 players from a variety of adult disability services taking part in the fun and inclusive skills programme.
During the programme the participants learned a wide range of Gaelic skills such as the pickup, solo, hop, fist pass and kick pass and were able to put these skills to good use in games, while hurling was also part of the programme. It also included entertaining warm ups and drills to enable members of all services to mingle and interact. Some of the participants will now go on to take part in the half time games during the Ulster SFC in June.
