Badminton

Eligible Applicants:

  • Community Groups
  • Clubs Affiliated with Badminton Ireland

 

Option 1 Conditions: Come and Try Social Badminton (Community)

  • Hall to be at least 13.4m long and 6.1m wide. High Ceilings (Minimum 9 meters high).
  • 4 – 6-week programme, at least 1 night per week.
  • Nominate a local Co Ordinator to run the programme.
  • Volunteers to help organise and run the programme.

 

Option 2 Conditions: Juvenile Badminton Programme (Clubs)

  • At least 1 Qualified Coach (Have completed shuttle time course with Badminton Ireland).
  •  Coach has completed Safeguarding Training & is Garda Vetted.
  • Volunteers to help organise and run the programme.
  • 4 – 6-week programme, at least 1 night per week.

 

Option 3 Conditions: Women’s Badminton Programme (Clubs)

  • At least 1 Qualified Coach (Have completed shuttle time course with Badminton Ireland)
  •  Volunteers to help organise and run the programme.
  • 4 – 6-week programme, at least1 night per week minimum.

 

CSP Supports

  • Max of €500 funding
  • Promotion of club programmes
  • Badminton Ireland Officer Support

 

 

 

Women in Sport

Eligible Applicants:

  • Sports Clubs, Community Groups, Outdoor Activity Service providers, Secondary Schools

 

Option 1 Conditions: Teen girls activity camp

  • Organise a min 3-day summer camp for teen girls (12-18 years)
  • Camp must have a sport/physical activity element.
  • Partnership and or develop/strengthen links with other clubs/groups or non-sporting providers to set up/organise and run camp.
  • Promotional plan to engage specifically with teen girls.
  • Advertise event 3 weeks prior to start (Include CSP on promotion of camp)
  • Have Pre-registration for the camp (including permission for photographs)
  • Highlight any previous experience of running activities for teen girls.

 

Option 2 Conditions: Women in sport participation programme

  • Introduction of new sports project/initiative for a specific female target group where opportunities do not already exist.  Specific female target groups are Girls/Teens/Mothers/Midlife/50+ years/females with a disability.
  • Open Day/Come & Try Initiatives, Social leagues or tournaments will only be considered as part of a sustainable programme to increase membership/ return of members to physical activity.

 

Option 3 Conditions: HER Moves Secondary School programme

  • Run a 4 to 12-week programme for girls aged between 12-18, programme must end before Friday 18th October.
  • Programme/initiative must combine multiple sporting & physical activity opportunities.
  • Programme/initiative should mix in other hobbies the girls might have e.g. art, drama, music.
  • Programme/initiative that is similar to what the LSP might already provide or programmes/initiatives that emphasis a competition type structure will NOT be accepted e.g. school training sessions followed by a school blitz.

  • Max of €500 funding Option 1 and 2.
  • Max of €1000 funding Option 3
  • Promotion of club programmes
  • CSP Development Officer support

 

 

 

Inclusion Camps

Eligible Applicants:

  • Sports Clubs,
  • Community Groups,
  • Outdoor Activity Service providers

Option 1 Conditions: Inclusion Camp

  • Organise a 3-day summer camp for Children (aged 5-15) with a disability.
  • Promotional plan to engage specifically with children with a disability.
  • Advertise event at 3 weeks prior to start date (Include CSP on promotion of camp).
  • Have Pre-registration for the camp (include details of child’s ability/ disability and permission for photographs).
  • Provide enough coaches/instructors to ensure all children can fully participate throughout camp.
  • Highlight any previous experience of running activities for children with a disability (note this is not essential).
  • Club to sign up for Sports Inclusion Disability Charter Active Disability Ireland.

Option 2 Conditions: Inclusion Taster Day

  • Organise a taster event of a specific sport/physical activity for children (aged 5-15) with a disability.
  • Promotional plan to engage specifically with children with a disability.
  • Advertise the taster 3 weeks prior to the event.
  • Have pre-registration for the taster.
  • Provide enough coaches/instructors to ensure all children can fully participate.
  • Highlight any previous experience of running activities for children with a disability (this is not essential).

CSP Supports

  • Option 1 Inclusion Camp Max of €500 funding.
  • Option 2 Inclusion Taster Day Max of €200 funding.
  • CSP will provide online Disability Awareness in Sport Workshop for clubs/organisations who are running a summer camp.
