The Be Active After School Activity Programme is supported by the Healthy Promotion Department of the HSE Dublin North East and facilitated by Cavan Sports Partnership in association with Sport Ireland.  Resources for the programme were compiled by PE staff of the Education Department of St Patrick's College, Drumcondra.  The Be Active ASAP is currently taking place in 75 primary schools throughout North Dublin, Meath, Cavan, Louth and Monaghan.

The Be Active ASAP introducted children to fun physical activity in a safe, familiar, structured setting, wiht an emphasis on enjoyment, learning and variety of activity.  The programme aims to improve the attitudes of both children and their parents towards physical activity and lay the foundation for positive, lifeloing physcial acitivity habits.
